Hello hello! What a beautiful days it is! Today is the day that I have finally finished the mosaic that I’ve started almost 6 months ago. The “Wild Geckos” mosaic is ready!
What a treat we had today! There are more and more Blue Tits and Robins showing of at our window. Here is a clip of not one but two of them at the same time. Didn’t mind each other at all, just keep picking the food that fell out of the bird feeder. One of them stared right into the camera! Take a look below.
Here is number two on our bird cam! Showed up this morning! This is a little Robin with its bright red breast it is familiar throughout the year and especially at Christmas! Males and females look identical, and young birds have no red breast and are spotted with golden brown. Robins sing nearly all year round and despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders. They will sing at night next to street lights.
This came around randomly. We’ve moved to a new flat, I’ve set up my study in one of the rooms, washed windows one day and figure out I could do a bit of bird watching while I’m at my desk. So I got bird feeder, the fat balls and put it up. In matter of hours I’ve noticed some first birds 🙂 I was so happy and excited (yes, birds excite me a lot these days 😉 that I’ve decided to set up my GoPro immediately! Here is my first capture. A couple of lovely Blue Tits 🙂 A colourful mix of blue, yellow, white and green makes the blue tit one of our most attractive and most recognisable garden visitors.

I have spotted my chance while strolling at the carboot sale and managed to get the below one for £20. It was all rusty, damaged and in desperate need of some love. I had a few ideas of what I wanted to make of it. Most of them I just could not make happen without spending more than I intended to so I’ve settle for deep forest green and copper fittings. It works well with the rest of my room. It was a great fun but took absolute ages!!! Here we go…Read More
When we came back from our South East Asia journey that lasted almost 6 months there was one thing that I was clear on. We only have one life, the time is running out and if I won’t do things now I might never have a chance to do them. So I’ve started my project called: #newhobby 🙂 Read on if you please 😉
I meant to do this little DIY project for quiet some time now, but for me it was always on an verge of ‘too cheesy and lame’ and maybe ‘sweet and acceptable’ 🙂
This March I’ve started leaning towards the latter so I decided to go for it! There were smiles and tears so in the end I consider it to be a success! 🙂
